Dr. Melanie Melançon attended Deer Park and Granbury High School before graduating in the top ten of her Crosby High School class.  She received her Bachelor of Science in biology from University of Houston having made the dean’s list.  In 2004 she graduated from UH College of Optometry with two letters of excellence. 

She completed her externships at Eye Center of Texas and York Eye Associates.  She now practices full-scope primary care optometry, as well as glaucoma treatment, minor surgical care of the eye, retinal examination, diagnosis and management of ocular disease, and cataract diagnosis and treatment. 

Dr. Melançon enjoys every aspect of her work, but finds particular satisfaction in a successful contact lens fit for difficult users such as dry eyes, astigmatism, or bifocal lens wearers.  She is a member in the American Optometric Association, the Texas Optometric Association, and the local Pearland Chamber of Commerce.
